2. Description of Service

Shroomify is an AI-powered mushroom identification app that provides species suggestions based on photos. It also features a community sightings map showing where mushrooms have been spotted by users around the world.

3. Safety Disclaimer — Please Read Carefully

IMPORTANT: Shroomify uses AI to suggest likely mushroom species. Results are NOT guaranteed to be accurate and should NEVER be used as the sole basis for determining whether a mushroom is safe to eat. Always consult a qualified mycologist before consuming any wild mushroom. Misidentification can cause serious illness or death.

4. Identification Accuracy

Confidence scores shown in the app indicate the AI model's certainty about a species match — they do not confirm edibility or safety. Environmental conditions, photo quality, and regional variation can all affect accuracy.

5. Community Sightings

By opting in to share a sighting with the community, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display your anonymized sighting data (grid-snapped location, species, edibility classification) on the community map and in aggregate statistics.

6. In-App Purchases

Shroomify offers unlimited identifications via a one-time purchase processed by Apple App Store. All purchases are subject to Apple's terms and refund policies. We do not store your payment details.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, and functionality of Shroomify — including graphics, text, and code — is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any damages — including personal injury, illness, or death — arising from reliance on mushroom identification results provided by the app. The app is an informational tool only and is not a substitute for expert mycological advice.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
