Shroomify uses the Kindwise AI model, which provides a confidence score for each identification. However, AI identification is not 100% reliable. Never eat a wild mushroom based solely on the app's result. Always consult a qualified mycologist before consuming any wild mushroom.
Your exact GPS coordinates are never stored or shared. If you choose to share a sighting with the community, your location is automatically rounded to a ~1 km grid before it is saved. You can opt out of sharing on a per-identification basis.
When you opt in to "Share with Community" for an identification, your sighting (species, edibility, and grid-snapped location) is added to the community map. This helps other users see where mushrooms are commonly found. Sharing is always opt-in — you are never required to share.
Shroomify includes 5 free identifications. To unlock unlimited identifications, tap the "Get Unlimited" button when prompted and complete the one-time purchase through the App Store.
